SBP: the Catalogue of the Parma Library System.
The Catalogue of the Parma Library System was created in November 2001 from the merger of the previously existing city catalogs. It includes the bibliographic records of documents held by the the libraries in the City of Parma, local libraries in the district of Parma, libraries of the University of Parma, the Palatina Library and other state, ecclesiastical, school, and private libraries in Parma that are part of the consortium.
Since 2002, the Parmense Library System has been part of the National Library Service (SBN).
Services Available Through the Catalog
Using the catalog, you can:
- Search for books, journals, films, written and audio music, theses, electronic journals, e-books, graphic and cartographic materials
- Reserve books for loan
- Access your personal area
- Create and publish bibliographies
- Ask a librarian for help with complex bibliographic research
- Discover the latest acquisitions by the libraries
- View book covers and read summaries
- “Visit” libraries by browsing the covers of books on shelves
- View prints, drawings, posters
- Download e-books or other electronic resources via two platforms: ReteIndaco and EmiLIB
Personal Area of the Catalog
The personal area allows users to manage book and journal reservations, extend your loans, request information and suggest books for purchase.
You can access the personal area in two ways:
- With University credentials
- With SPID (Public Digital Identity System)
minors and foreign citizens not enrolled at the University of Parma can subscribe and ask reader credentials to any library in the Parma Library System.
