Access
You need a Student Card to enter the library. Turnstiles regulate access.
If you are not a student at the University of Parma but would like to use our study rooms, ask the library manager for temporary access.
Consulting books and journals
Consultation is open to all. The books in the library are arranged on open shelves according to the subject classification defined by the Dewey Decimal Classification. You can take books from the shelves yourself to consult them or request them on loan. If you need a book held in storage, you can submit your request via the Online Catalogue or directly to the front office. The book will be available the next morning. Requests made on Saturday and Sunday will be processed on Monday. If you are an external user not resident in Parma or the Province of Parma and you need to consult books or magazines, you must submit a request to the library manager.
