Catalog of the Parmese Library System

Born in November 2001 from the merger of the pre-existing city catalogs, the Catalogue of the Parmese Library System includes bibliographic records of documents owned by the libraries of the City of Parma, local libraries in the district of Parma, the libraries of the University of Parma, the Palatina Library, and the libraries of private and public institutions in Parma that are members of the consortium. The Parma Library System has been a member of the National Library Service (SBN) since 2002.

Through the Catalogue of the Parma Library System you can:

• search books, journals, films, written and sound music, dissertations, electronic journals, e-books, graphic and cartographic materials
• reserve books for loan
• access your Personal Area
• prepare and publish bibliographies
• ask a librarian help for complex bibliographic research
• see the latest books purchased by libraries
• view book covers and read abstracts
• "visit" libraries with the virtual shelves
• looking at images of prints, drawings, posters
• downloading ebooks or other electronic resources using the platforms available: ReteIndaco and EmiLIB

The Catalog Personal Area allows you to manage book and journal reservations, extend loans, request information, and suggest books for purchase to the Libraries.

You can access the Personal Area:

1. With University Credentials

2. With SPID. Minors and foreign citizens not enrolled at the University of Parma access with reader credentials, issued by the Library in which they are registered. In this case, the credentials are the user code (user) and date of birth (as password) in the format dd/mm/yyyyy.
