[Update 04/11/2025] CRUI's CARE team reported that the 2025 funds to publish in open access for free in journals of the publisher Wiley are expected to run out by the end of November.

Any further updates will be posted on the Publish in Open Access page under "Wiley".

The University of Parma has joined the transformative agreement signed by CRUI with publisher IEEE.

The agreement guarantees access to journals available on the IEL (IEEE Electronic Library).

The agreement also provides corresponding authors formally affiliated with the University with the option to publish open access at no additional cost in hybrid journals starting from the agreement signing date, expected in November 2025.

As soon as it is available, the exact date will be posted on the Publishing in Open Access page under "IEEE - Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers," where more information about the agremeent is available.

The publisher announced that it had restored access to the Reaxys resource.

Please note that all University Libraries will be closed during the summer from August 4th to 22nd inclusive.

The University of Parma has joined the transformative agreement signed between CRUI and Springer.

The agreement provides for access to Springer journals available on the Springer Link platform and to Nature Academics journals (or Academic Journals) on the Nature.com platform and provides, for corresponding authors formally affiliated with the University, the opportunity to publish in open access at no additional cost in the Springer and Nature Academics hybrid journals.

Starting from March 1st 2025, pending the resumption of the negotiation between CRUI and the IEEE publisher, the paid IEEE resources are no longer accessible.

It remains possible to consult the IEEE resources available in open access starting from this LINK.

From January 2025, it is no longer possible to publish in OA under the agreement, i.e. without paying APCs.

The University of Parma agreed upon a transformative contract with the publisher Bentham Science for the year 2025.

The contract gives access to journals available on the publisher's site and provides, for corresponding authors formally affiliated with the University, the possibility of publishing with no additional cost in the hybrid and gold OA journals.

From 18 January the Economics and Management Library and the Medical Library will also open on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00am to 6:00pm.
