AMBOSS is an interactive e-learning platform aimed at supporting medical students, teachers and doctors. The platform is divided into three main sections –Library, Qbank and Analysis– and includes thousands of preclinical and clinical articles accompanied by multimedia materials, numerous clinical cases and a statistical analysis section for monitoring one's own performance.

If you are a student or teacher of the Medicine and Surgery degree course in Piacenza and have not yet received the accreditation email to the AMBOSS platform, you can write to bibmed@unipr.it from your institutional email address, indicating your first name, last name, and, for students, student ID number.

From November 2025, the IP address access option will no longer be available in the mobile app and users will need to create a personal account.

To create an account:

1. log in to DynaMed via a web browser on a mobile device or from desktop from the university network;
2. click the icon in the toolbar at the top of the screen;
3. click “Create Account”;
4. on the “Register for a Personal Account” screen, enter an email address and password to use as login credentials;
5. after clicking Register, you will be asked to read the Policy on the storage and use of personal data;
6. select the YES button;
7. click “Continue” to complete account setup;
8. created the account, log in to the mobile app, click "Sign In" and enter the credentials created in the email address and password fields.

UpToDate is an up-to-date platform of evidence-based clinical information useful as clinical decision support. You can access thousands of clinical topics in 25 specialties containing best practices, recommendations, charts, links, and drug monographs.

From 2025 access to the Anywhere version that requires registration but allows remote access without VPN and from APP. Registration is simple and free and only needs to be done the 1st time. To register:

1. connect to UpToDate from the university network by typing https://www.uptodate.com/login;
2. click on the "Register" link in the upper right corner and fill out the form to create your account, then click on "Submit";
3. for subsequent logins, use the "Sign In" link to login;
4. to maintain access to UpToDate you must confirm your affiliation with the University of Parma every 90 days. To do so, simply log in to UpToDate from the university network.
