What is DiscoveryUNIPR?

DiscoveryUNIPR is a powerful tool that, through a single “Google-like” search interface, allows users to simultaneously query the catalogs and many of the subscription-based databases available to university users. It retrieves various types of documentary resources in different formats: from books to e-books, from printed articles to online ones, from digitized resources to those freely available on the web.

DiscoveryUNIPR offers authenticated users (via university credentials) the ability to save, export, and email search results. Additionally, from the discovery interface, users can access document delivery and interlibrary loan services.

DiscoveryUNIPR does not retrieve information related to e-books and other materials present in the EmiLib catalog. Additionally, some databases cannot be queried through Discovery.

Do databases become unnecessary with DiscoveryUNIPR?

DiscoveryUNIPR complements individual databases without replacing them. Some advanced bibliographic search features, as well as citation and bibliometric analysis tools, are only accessible on the platforms of the respective databases.

How and why should you authenticate?

To authenticate, simply click on the banner “UniPr User? Log in with your institutional credentials!” at the top of the homepage.

By authenticating, you will gain access to the full text of subscribed articles and e-books purchased by the libraries, videos in databases, and other content available only to UniPr users. You will also have access to a personal space where you can save your searches and favorites.
