Access to the reading rooms is free.

The consultation service requires registration with the library services and is available by appointment.

Inscription for library services

UNIPR students, professors and staff

Students, professors, and UNIPR staff can directly access the library and all services offered.

Research fellows, scholarship holders, PhD students and visiting professors

Research fellows, scholarship holders, UniPR PhD students and visiting professors can apply for library services by completing and submitting the inscription form available at this page.

External collaborators

External collaborators can apply for admission to the loan service by sending this form to the library.

External users

Users outside the University of Parma may access the library's reading rooms freely and may request only reference of materials upon inscription to the library by filling out this form.

Reservation of bibliographic materials for consultation

It is preferable to reserve books and journals in advance through the OPAC (Online Catalog of the Parmese Library System).

Reserved materials will be available according to the time of the request:

  • books and journals requested by h 12.00vwill be available from h 14.30.
  • books and journals requested after h 12.00 will be available from h 9.30 of the first working day following the request.

The duration of the consultation varies depending on the type of document requested:

  • 1 day for textbooks
  • 7 days for the rest of the material
