Curated by the Institute of Legal Information Theory and Techniques (ITTIG) in Florence and continuously updated, DoGi is an indexing database of Italian legal scholarship. It provides citations and abstracts of articles (including case notes, reviews, commentary on legislation, conference papers, and book reviews) published in more than 250 Italian journals since 1970.

Each record includes:

  • bibliographic references for each contribution;
  • an abstract, prepared by ITTIG, summarizing the topics addressed by the author and the arguments presented;
  • one or more classification codes identifying the relevant legal field;
  • references to legislative and case law sources cited by the author.

A multidisciplinary database containing abstracts and full-text journal articles curated by the JSTOR Project, a non-profit initiative of the U.S.-based Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. Its aim is to create a digital electronic archive of complete back issues of academic journals across various disciplines, including the arts, economics, history, science, sociology, law, and psychology.

The database is primarily retrospective and historical in nature and is organized into collections, each containing complete journal runs from the beginning of publication, subject to an embargo period of 3 to 5 years.
