Course on thesis writing
The course, organized 3 times a year by the Department, is taught by a researcher, librarians and student office staff..
In each edition of the course, the following topics are covered:
- Choosing the thesis supervisor and topic
- Thesis writing
- How to search for books, articles, case law, and other documents in catalogs and databases
- How to cite soruces in the bibliography and footnotes of the thesis
- Library services for graduating students
Bibliographic instruction sessions
The Law Library organizes meetings, via teams, aimed primarily at University of Parma students and aimed at providing information on library services and tools (databases, catalogs, engines) for bibliographic research in the areas of law, political science, international relations and social services.
In particular, but not limited to, the following topics are covered:
- Library Services in Law Library
- How to search and find books, articles, reports, etc.
- Use of databases and other research tools
- Bibliography for the dissertation: how to organize it
- Evaluation of web resources
- Bibliographic citation: how to cite in the dissertation, in an article, in a presentation
The meetings are interactive: students can ask librarians questions about library services and bibliographic research.
