Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery

What it is
Users can request books not held by libraries in the city of Parma.

Who it is for
The service is aimed at faculty, staff, and students of the courses related to the Department of Law, Political and International Studies.

Limits
Each user can submit up to a maximum of 4 requests per week.

Times
Waiting times cannot be estimated in advance. Upon arrival of the requested document, the user will be notified via email or by telephone. The loan period for the obtained interlibrary material and the possibility of an extension vary according to the conditions set by the lending library.

Costs
The service is provided free of charge by the Central Library.

The user is required to reimburse the Library for any fees charged by the library providing the documents.

Module
After verifying, by consulting the OPAC, that the documents are not present at the University Libraries or at other libraries in the city of Parma, the user may submit the request, by filling out this form

Users can request journal articles not held by libraries in the city of Parma.

Who it is for
The service is aimed at faculty, staff, and students of the courses related to the Department of Law, Political and International Studies.

Limits
Each user can submit up to a maximum of 4 requests per week.

Times

• Waiting times depend on the libraries to which requests are forwarded and are therefore not predictable.
• If news is not received within 15 to 20 days of the request, it is advisable to inquire by calling 0521-034599.
• When the requested document arrives, the user is notified by e-mail or telephone.

Costs
The service is provided free of charge by the Central Library.

The user is required to reimburse the Library for any fees charged by the library providing the documents.

Request
After checking the OPAC of the Parma Library System and the SFX electronic journals catalogue to ensure the article/journal is not already available at the University Libraries or other libraries in the city of Parma, the user can submit the request by filling out this form.

What it is
This is the interlibrary loan service of monographs available to libraries that request it for their own needs or those of their users.

The service covers materials owned by Law Libraries.

To whom it is addressed
The service is reserved exclusively for Italian and foreign Libraries, Organizations and Institutions that ensure reciprocity of the service.

No requests forwarded by private citizens who must contact a library through which to request the service will be considered.

Limits
Textbooks, dictionaries, encyclopedias, codices, series, dissertations, out-of-print works, rare and valuable materials, volumes in poor condition, and non-bibliographic materials are generally excluded from lending.

The same library may not submit more than 4 requests per week.

Timing
The requested document, if immediately available, is sent within two working days of the arrival of the request.

If the forwarded request cannot be fulfilled or, in any case, if the requested material is not immediately available, the requesting library will be informed within two working days.

Interlibrary loan of monographs has a duration of 15 to 30 days from the date of shipment, depending on the requested work. A form specifying the duration of the loan is included inside the volume.

Non-compliance with the return time will result in exclusion from the service.

Monographic material will, as a rule, be sent via the post office, by registered mail with return receipt.

Costs
The service is free of charge, on a reciprocal basis, for libraries or institutions that belong to the Parma SBN Cluster

All other libraries or institutions are required to pay a flat-rate expense reimbursement as, below:

This is the service of providing copies of journal articles available to libraries that request them for their own needs or those of their users.

The service concerns materials owned by Law Libraries.

The materials will be provided only by electronic mail or NILDE.

Who it is for
The service is reserved exclusively for Italian and foreign Libraries, Organizations and Institutions that ensure reciprocity of service.

No requests forwarded by private citizens will be considered, who must apply to a library through which to request the service.

Limits

The same library may not submit more than 4 requests per week.

Times
The requested document, if immediately available, is sent within two working days of the arrival of the request.

If the submitted request cannot be processed or, otherwise, if the requested material is not immediately available, the requesting library will be notified within two working days.

Costs
The service is free of charge, on a reciprocal basis, for libraries or institutions that:

• belong to the Parma SBN Pole;
• join the ESSPER project (list)
• join NILDE (list).

All other libraries or institutions are required to pay a flat-rate expense reimbursement as, below, specified:

• €3.00 for each item from 1 to 20 pages
• €5.00 for each item from 21 to 50 pages
• €7.00 for each item exceeding 50 pages
