The University Library System subscribes to and provides access to databases, subject-specific portals, platforms for electronic journals and e-books, and encyclopedias. It also selects a wide range of scholarly bibliographic resources available online free of charge.

How to access

You can browse databases and access the full-text of online journals and e-books:

  • from locations within the University, or by connecting your device to the University network via the WiFi service;
  • from locations outside the University network, using the VPN service, which allows authorized users to be recognized as members of the university community, regardless of where they connect from;
  • for some resources, access is also possible through IDEM federated authentication, a service reserved for users of academic and research institutions. This mode is available only to institutional users (students, teaching staff and technical administrative staff) and requires the use of their University credentials.

Use of the databases is allowed only for individual study, for teaching or research purposes, and in any case not for commercial or profit-making purposes.
